MATERIALS & CARE

SOLID OAK

We craft kitchens and interiors from solid wood frames, combining timeless materials with a modular system.

Solid oak provides natural strength and durability for everyday use. It can be maintained and refinished over time, extending its lifespan. As it ages, oak develops a unique character, with subtle shifts in tone and texture that add warmth and depth — making it a timeless and reliable material choice.

CARE & OIL TREATMENT

Vermland furniture is made with a solid wood frame and veneered fronts, with selected pieces featuring solid wood countertops. All furniture is pre-treated and ready for use.

Oil treatment

Solid wood countertops benefit from additional oil treatment, especially during the first few months. Frames and fronts only need treatment when necessary.

How to

Lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper (grit 280–320), following the wood grain. Apply oil with a lint-free cloth and let it soak in for approximately 15 minutes before wiping off any excess. Allow the surface to dry for at least 12 hours. Full curing takes approximately 14 days.

Daily care

Wipe surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and avoid detergents or soaps.

HONEST PRODUCTION & LASTING QUALITY

Every Vermland piece is made in a family-owned workshop in the Jutland countryside, using carefully selected FSC-certified wood from responsibly managed forests. From the construction of frames and drawers to the milling, sanding, and oiling of each surface, every step is carried out with care and precision. The result is honest craftsmanship that celebrates the natural character of the wood and is made to last for generations.

MODULAR DESIGN

Our modular kitchen system is rooted in the tradition of Danish joinery, where construction, material and function go hand in hand. The illustration reveals the construction behind each module: solid oak is used for the structural and visible parts, while larger surfaces are crafted in oak veneer. This creates a strong and lasting construction while using the material thoughtfully.

Each module works independently and as part of a larger system, allowing the kitchen to be adapted, refined or expanded over time.
