LA CABRA NORDHAVN

WHERE COFFEE TAKES SHAPE

In Copenhagen’s Nordhavn, La Cabra’s new roastery and coffee bar takes its cues from the character of the surrounding harbour district. Once defined by industry and infrastructure, Nordhavn is now a place of transformation, where robust brick buildings stand alongside contemporary architecture in glass and steel.

The new location reflects this meeting of old and new. Rooted in the area’s industrial past while looking towards its future, the space brings La Cabra’s approach to coffee, craftsmanship and considered design into a setting shaped by functionality, honest materials and a strong architectural identity.

A PLACE TO EXPERIMENT

Connected to the shop and café, La Cabra’s experimental kitchen is a dedicated space for testing coffee, developing new ideas and training staff.

Vermland kitchen modules in natural oak form the functional framework, providing flexible workstations, storage and preparation surfaces while bringing warmth to the space.

More than a back-of-house kitchen, it connects La Cabra’s public coffee experience with the experimentation and knowledge behind it.

BETWEEN HARBOUR AND CITY

The material language of the interior draws from Nordhavn’s industrial heritage. Brick, metal and exposed technical elements reference the old harbour, while oak adds warmth and tactility.

In the experimental kitchen, Vermland’s solid oak modules are defined by visible construction and straightforward functionality, designed to adapt to the daily work of La Cabra.

Together, the roastery, café, shop and experimental kitchen create an open environment where coffee is not only served, but developed, tested and shared. The result is a space rooted in Nordhavn’s character and La Cabra’s dedication to quality and exploration.
