ABOUT VERMLAND
Founded over a decade ago by furniture designers and cabinetmakers Joakim Tolf Vulpius and Anton Bak, Vermland brings together contemporary design and woodworking expertise. The studio works across private residences and commercial interiors, developing spaces and furniture with a clear architectural approach.
The name Vermland refers both to the studio’s original location on Vermlandsgade in Copenhagen and to the forested region of Värmland in Sweden.
APPROACH
At Vermland, we believe that interiors should be built to last and designed to be lived with. We craft kitchens and interiors from solid wood frames, combining timeless materials with a modular system designed for simple assembly, lasting strength, and affordability.
Rooted in Danish design traditions, our approach blends refined aesthetics with architectural precision, creating flexible interiors with a wide variety of layouts and solutions that adapt to real life. Each piece is designed and handcrafted in Denmark with care, balancing quality, functionality, and longevity so your space can evolve beautifully over time.
GLOBAL MINDSET
Vermland products are designed for efficient assembly and international distribution. Delivered flat-packed, each piece reduce transport volume while maintaining the integrity of the design – making our interiors accessible whether in Copenhagen, London, Paris, or beyond. More than a local brand, Vermland works across multiple markets, with projects spanning different regions and contexts. The modular system adapts to a wide range of spaces, supporting our expanding international presence.
Solid oak provides natural strength and durability for everyday use. It can be maintained and refinished over time, extending its lifespan.
As it ages, oak develops a unique character, with subtle shifts in tone and texture that add warmth and depth – making it a timeless and reliable material choice.
